Sketch saturday
This card is for Sketch Saturday challenge blog, which has as always, got a great sketch this week. I have used Tilda sitting on top of an Alota cupcake (the magnolia one was sold out wherever I looked). Both have been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. The BP is basic grey and the green and pink card are from my stash but I am pretty sure that they are both papermania. The sentiment is also a papermania one.

Two challenges, one card
Not something that I make a habit of doing, but not been crafting much due to one thing and another, but today I have managed to make one card to cover two challenges. The sketch is from this weeks Sketch Saturday blog and its a great sketch, I have rotated it this week, and the colour combo is from this weeks Colour create challenge blog, the combo being Chocolate, coffee and cream with an optional extra of distressing which I have to admit to completely forgetting about whilst making the card, at least it was optional.
I have used this great cat stamp from Stamp-it, coloured with polychromos and sansodor. The papers are a mixture of K & CO and papermania and the chocolate coloured card is from Stampin up. Just added some lace and small gems. The sentiment is a stamp from papermania.

Sketch Saturday

Another great sketch this week over on Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog. I have used this Tilda ....Sorry don't know what she is called, and coloured her with polychromos and sansodor. All the papers are Basic grey some old, some new. The circle was cut using my nesties and the sentiment is a stamp from Joanna Sheen messy rabbits range of stamps. I have added some lace and some Prima flowers. Went for a slightly unusual colour combo for me, but I think I am happy with the overall effect. On the sketch there are lots are circles at the bottom of the card, but it does say on the challenge blog that we can used spotted or paper with circles on it instead, so i chose the easier option, instead of punching out lots of circles.Saturday, 7 March 2009
Sketch Saturday

Another great sketch this week on the Sketch saturday challenge blog. This week the sketch is by Ria, and one that I will be using again. I have made a get well card this week ( think OH might get this as he has a mans cold). I have used an Alota stamp, not sure of the name of it though, I have coloured the image using polychromos and sansodor. All the papers are from my stash, I then added a variety of prima flowers. The sentiment is computer generated. Saturday, 21 February 2009
Sketch saturday

Another great sketch as always over on the Sketch Saturday challenge blog, and I had to make a card with a cat on today, so thought I would use todays sketch, although now I have posted it, it looks a bit plain. I have used a Joanna Sheen stamp which is from a sheet of cat stamps that I have, stamped in vintage sepia, and then mounted onto brown card. The BP is papermania vintage, I have then added brown and pink ribbons and the 3 flowers. Finally stamped a happy birthday in the corner. Now edited to add an updated pic of the card, decided to add some paw prints to take away some of the plainness ( is that a word)

messy rabbit

Have just used my new Joanna Sheen Messy rabbit stamps and made this card to the sketch on this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge blog. The images have all been coloured in my usual fashion using polychromos and sansodor. All the papers are from My minds eye apart from the dark brown cardstock which is from stampin up. Not a lot more to say about this card.Sunday, 8 February 2009
Sketch Saturday

Still behind on challenges due to my total lack of imagination, I look at paper and then can't find any that seem to go together. But hey I'm persevering. Today its my effort for this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch. This week the sketch is by Jeanette and what a great sketch it is, not sure if i've done it justice though. I have used Papermania paper, and scraps of card. I have coloured Tilda with polychromos and sansodor, added some small flowers in the corners which were a freebie with a magazine yonks ago, and have used an Autumn Harvest ticket stamp for the sentiment which is attached with a small metal clip. Sketch Saturday

So its Saturday and that means another great sketch over on the sketch saturday blog. I has to make a card for a 7 year old who loves make up, so out came the trusty Tildas and I made this card. Tilda has been coloured using Polychromos and Sansodor. The lace is more from the 12 metres that I won, the make up set is a quickutz die which I have had for ages.....knew it would come in handy one day. I have used a variety of ribbon on this card, and all the BP are Basic Grey two scoops. Still having trouble with the mojo , but think its slowly coming back Sunday, 18 January 2009
Sketch saturday

What a great sketch there is this week over on the sketch saturday blog. I decided to use bright colours for this one. The stamp is Amelia and swing by kadoodle stamps designed by the very talented Christine Dark. All the card used is by papermania and I decided to emboss all but the green strip of card, using my cuttlebug folders, made the card come to life a bit more, it seemed too flat before the cuttlebug came out. The brads are actuatlly lilac and orange to co-ordinate with the BP but the scan doesn't show either the brads or the paper very well.Saturday, 10 January 2009
Sketch Saturday

Its saturday which means its sketch saturday day. What a great sketch there is for us today. I have used one of my new Sarah kay stamps and coloured it with polychromos and sansodor. The mounts have been cut using my new set of nestabilities. All the papers are from Basic grey two scoops pad of papers and the ribbon is some that I picked up in Denmark last year, which is now running low, so will have to get some more on the next visit (note to sister....when are we going). Sketch Saturday 28

There is a brilliant sketch over on Sketch Saturday challenge blog this week and the sketch is by Mariska, great sketch thank you. I have used Tilda in christmas stockings for this card, she has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor, The BP's are all from the DCWV Rose tinted christmas pad. The ribbon is from my ribbon drawer and the sentiment has been done on my Dymo. The three snowflakes have been punched out with glittercard, the one that looks black is in fact purple.Saturday, 22 November 2008
Sketch saturday 26

There is yet again another brilliant sketch on the Sketch Saturday blog this week. So I have gone for Waiting Tilda coloured with polychromos and sansodor (reminder to self -must try other mediums). Have inked the snowflake cuttlebug folder with pretty in pink ink by stampin up and then run it through the cuttlebug. The papers are all DCWV rose tinted christmas papers and the sentiment is one that came in a small scrapbook kit last year and I never used it. Sunday, 16 November 2008
Sketch Saturday

Another great sketch this week on sketch saturday blog, and some great cards from the DT.
I have used this cute dog again, couldn't resist making some more cards using this image, reminds me of my own dog, whom I'm sure would wear a santa hat if I put one on her.
The papers are all from my stash but i think a couple of them are HOTP and one is papermania.
The sentiment is one I printed on the PC. Didn't add any other embellishments as i liked the look of it as per the sketch with no other additions.

Sketch Saturday

I had been asked to make a birthday card for someone who is involved with the RAF at university for his 21st birthday. I made his 18th birthday card which he loved apparently, and used a sizzix man dressed in raf uniform for that card, so consequently this card had me stumped as couldn't use another sizzix person, so I went for Edwin dressed in a flying jacket. The BP is from some scrapbook papers that came free with a magazine and is all lancasters, spitfires and hurricanes. added the 2 metal charms to finish.
Just love this sketch and can see me using it again and again.

Sketch Saturday no 23

There is a brilliant sketch by Coco on sketch saturday this week, and this is my version of the sketch. Everything on the card including paper is from my stash of christmas bits which I have had for about 2 years now (tend not to make many Christmas cards). The stamp is an old Anitas stamp which I had when I first started stamping but I think it is such a cute image, that I have dug out to use again. It has been coloured with polychromos and sansodor.
