Feeling Fruity

OK, what can I say but thanks (not) to Mandi and Chrissie over on the Less is more challenge blog, for this week its the theme of Feeling Fruity and they would like to see fruit on our cards.

Easy you would think, but it reality not easy. I think I now know every single stamp that I own and every single sticker and paper, could I find any fruit - not on your nelly, well apart from this paper which was a freebie in a magazine, and the stamp that I have used lightly refers to fruit and I mean lightly - well it has the word Jam in it. So after looking at all the other gorgeous cards that have been entered, I decided I would have to go the same way as some of the others and make fruit, either that or tear the label off the Jam Jar (it has got strawberries on it).

I punched hearts in red card added black dots and drew the stem using a promarker, simples, so why has it taken me almost 2 days to come up with this. Thanks again Mandi and Chrissie, I almost gave up but didn't.

Precious Girl

My 2nd post for today and this time its a card that I've made to send to my nephew who lives in Denmark to Congratulate him and his wife on the arrival of their baby girl. It also happens to fit into this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge whose theme is Starburst - they would like to see stars and of course a Penny Black image and for this card I have used baby hammock. It also fits into this weeks Passion for promarkers challenge whose theme is animal crackers and there is a hedgehog and a butterfly in my image so I hope this qualifies.

The image has been coloured using promarkers, the DP is from a pad that came free with a magazine, the card is co ordinations and I have used this to back the image and to cut the stars out. I ran the stars through the swiss dots embossing folder and then just added some lace and the sentiment to finish

Less is more

I have made this card for the less is more challenge blog, and this week they would like to see button or ribbon (or plurals thereof).
I have used an old art impressions stamp, mounted the image onto black card and added black and white gingham ribbon (cut using sharp scissors). Have then added a sentiment made from the old Dynmo tape (not used this in yonks) and hey pretso one card. I am still finding it hard not to add more but really enjoy doing this challenge as its like thinking outside the box for me.

Bunting

Well this week the very talented design team over at Penny Black Saturday challenge blog wanted to see Bunting........so after a bit of head scratching I thought Oh well, might as well try it. I have used the Penny black uplifting occassion stamp and coloured the image with promarkers, used co - ordination card to back the image and the flowers and then set to making my own bunting, which has been made with scraps of paper and scraps that were left from the card. The flower stamp was a freebie from craft stamper magazine and this is the 1st time that I've used it.

Manga Boy

Afternoon all, today I have made a card to fit the sketch on this weeks passion for promarkers challenge blog, it is such a great sketch that I can feel another card coming on. I have used promarkers to colour this sugar nellie manga boy image. The BP are hot of the press and co-ordinations card, I have just added some rafia and a star charm, which means that it can also be entered onto the Cupcake Craft challenge blog whose theme is Wish upon a star. And I'm just in time to enter this card into Crafty Creations challenge blog the theme of which is Boyz to men.

A Special day

I have made this card for my Mum as it is her Birthday on Thursday and she loves the Lili of the Valley images, I have used an image that came free with a magazine a couple of weeks ago and one of the sentiment stamps which I have just got. I coloured the image with promarkers and have used papers from Tim Holtz and co-ordinations pink card. Have just added 3 adhesive gems from hobbycraft which are years old.
I would like to enter this card into
Sketch and Stash challenge blog - hopefully I have followed the sketch and have used a new stamp and old gems
and
Lili of the valley challenge blog - and this week the challenge is to use Pink and Blue

Less is More

Today is Less is more day and their challenge this week is Circles. Now the idea of this challenge is to make Clean and Simple cards with clean lines, minimal elements and lots of white space and few or no embellishments. This is not easy for me, but here is my take. I have managed the white space bit of the challenge no problem. This week they would like to see circles and they do mean plural, not just one. I have used a circular stamp, and inside this I have used another stamp, this time a dewdrop craftz stamp of a fish with bubbles, which just happen to be circles.
I have then punched out the edge of the card with a Martha Stewart punch which just so happens to have circles on it. Think I have met the requirements of circles on this card
The image of the fish has been coloured with promarkers and I added some glossy accents to the bubbles but that doesn't show up very well on the picture.

This is my 2nd time of trying this challenge so you may well see my back next week.
Thank you for looking.

Thank You

I have made this card as a thank you card for my Husband, as he has spent 3 days helping me sort out my craft room and then he has shelved one complete wall for me, the room really has got a floor and carpet now but I hadn't seen it for years.

I followed the sketch on this weeks challenge at Lili of the valley and have used a lili of the valley stamped and coloured the image using distress inks, my first ever time of trying this, not too bad an effort even if I do say so myself. The BPs are all basic grey and I have cut the Thanks using my cuttlebug and a cuttlebug die from an alphabet set, but can't remember the name of it.

The lace and ribbon are from my stash along with the flowers, just added some card candi for the flower centres. The ticket is Tim Holtz which has been covered with tea dye distressed ink.

Lil Devil

Last card of the day and apologies for the slightly blurred image, but its not a good idea to try and take a decent pic this time of the evening.

This card has been made using Lil Devil stamp from Dewdrop crafts and coloured with promarkers, have used co - ordinations card for the backing and the red and black card is from my stash along with the red ribbon. The sentiment is from craftwork cards and so is the candi, both have been coloured using distress ink and promarkers. This card has been made using the sketch on this weeks sketch saturday challenge blog.

2nd of the day

2nd card of the day and this is one to meet a few challenges and they are :

Papertake weekly challenge - anything goes with the optional extra to use buttons

Saturday challenge - a get well soon card

Cute Card thursday - to use lace

I have used Lili of the Valley get well soon stamp and coloured the image with promarkers. The papers are Tim Holtz and the pink card is co-ordinations. These have both been distressed - well my version of distressed although it doesn't show up very well on the pink card. The lace is from my stash, the sentiment is a hero arts stamp and the little mental embellishment is one that I picked up in Denmark a couple of years back.

Less is more

I have been looking at the less is more challenge blog for a few weeks now, but have only just plucked up the courage to play along, it seems so daunting to only put such a small amount on my cards, but have done it now. This weeks challenge is one layer and something with legs. For my card I have used Stamp it Cats Meow stamp and a sentiment from paperartsy. The cat has been coloured using pastel blue promarker.

Might be trying some more of these. Thank you for looking.
