Sketch Saturday

So its Saturday and that means another great sketch over on the sketch saturday blog. I has to make a card for a 7 year old who loves make up, so out came the trusty Tildas and I made this card. Tilda has been coloured using Polychromos and Sansodor. The lace is more from the 12 metres that I won, the make up set is a quickutz die which I have had for ages.....knew it would come in handy one day. I have used a variety of ribbon on this card, and all the BP are Basic Grey two scoops. Still having trouble with the mojo , but think its slowly coming back

A double whammy

Well this isn't something that I normally do, but seeing as no one has returned my mojo yet, I have resulted to making one card to fit 2 challenges. This week on Papertake weekly challenge blog there is a brilliant sketch by Dawny, and A spoon full of Sugar challenge blog want us to produce some Love is in the air.

I have used this brilliant sarah kay stamp and coloured the image in my usual fashion of polychromos and Sansodor. The red and Black and White cardstock are all from my stash. I have embossed the black card using a cuttlebug embossing folder. The stamped sentiment is from a Studio G set of stamps. The lace which you may be seeing a lot of is part of the 12 metres that I won on e bay, and have added a made with love charm to the lace.

Penny Black Frame

Seems that my Mojo has up and gone, so if anyone finds it on their travels, please could you send it back to me.
This week on the Penny Black saturday challenge blog the challenge was "Frame It". I have made a frame using my square nestabilities and used two stamps from a Penny Black set of clear stamps. The image was coloured using polychromos and sansodor, the patterned paper is from the papermania simply elegant pad. The brown card is also papermania and the frame and sentiment card are DCWV.

Friday sketchers

Firstly I just apologise for the really bad scan today. This card will not scan properly, so will have to make do with this picture. There is a fantastic sketch this week over on Friday sketchers blog by Beatrix and this is my version of the sketch. I have used Tilda with her bandages and coloured the image using polychromos and sansodor. The dotted paper is from Crate papers and the paper underneath that is from my stash. The ribbon is from anitas and the flowers are Prima. The buckle is one that I have had in my drawer for ages and obviously never used. The sentiment is from stampin up and says "if wishes could make you well, you'd be better already, although this does not show clearly on this picture

Not a challenge

A card today that doesn't fit in with any challenges, but it is a sketch from Papertake weekly challenge blog for a couple of weeks ago that I never found time to play along with, so thought I would use the sketch for this card. I had been asked to make a card for someones brother and the brief was aeroplanes. After searching through all my stamps and stuff, could I find any planes ........ no. I resorted last night to going through my CD's and found this image on a Joanna Sheen cd. The paper is all Basic grey with some cream cardstock from my stash. Off to try the Friday Sketchers skethc now

Creating a scene

This week the challenge on cute card Thursday is to create a scene. So I have gone for this scene, using magnolia stamps. All the images have been coloured using polychromos and sansodor, and the back ground has been chalked. Not a lot more I can say about this card so no papers involved or any other embellishments

Oh Baby

This week the challenge over on a spoon full of sugar challenge blog is Oh Baby.
Our Challenge this week is to create a card for a New Baby, Mum-to-be, New Mum or Pre-schooler. I decided to go with the New baby card, and used my favourite stamp for new baby cards, the penny black hammock stamp. the image has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. then matted onto pale blue card cut using ny nesties. The BP is papermania and I think it suits baby cards. added the white card which has been embossed using the swiss dots cuttlebug folder and then finally added the ribbon and tiny feet charm.

Going Dotty

This week on Penny Black saturday challenge the ladies would like us to get Dotty. So I got my dots out and made this simple card. The BP is from Pink Petticoat, the ribbon is from my stash and the image is the absolutely brilliant Penny Black stamp ~Uplifting Occasion, which even has dots on it as well. The image has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. I didn't add any other embellishments this time, because the image is so large adding flowers etc, made the card look too cluttered so left wthis one fairly simple.

not quite right

Well this card was supposed to match the sketch this week on Friday Sketchers, but after chosing the image I wanted to use, I realised that it wouldn't fit on my normal square cards, so went for the tall DL instead. working away to the sketch and then ah....... no room for the text to go, well not text that you would have been able to read. But I quite like the look of this card so thought that I would show it, will just have to try another card now but try and get the text in next time.

Sketch saturday

What a great sketch there is this week over on the sketch saturday blog. I decided to use bright colours for this one. The stamp is Amelia and swing by kadoodle stamps designed by the very talented Christine Dark. All the card used is by papermania and I decided to emboss all but the green strip of card, using my cuttlebug folders, made the card come to life a bit more, it seemed too flat before the cuttlebug came out. The brads are actuatlly lilac and orange to co-ordinate with the BP but the scan doesn't show either the brads or the paper very well.

Kadoodle DT card

Well this is my very first card for the DT at Kadoodle stamps which are available only from The Craft Barn . I have used Dan the schoolboy stamp which has been coloured with polychromos and sansodor, I think he is the cutest schoolboy around town. The patterned paper is we are memory keepers splish splash also from the craft barn and the oval sentiment which I just adore, is also from the craft barn.

The blue paper, ribbon and buttons are all from my stash.

Brown and Pink at Penny Black

Todays challenge on Penny black saturday challenge is Brown and Pink.

I have used the penny black stamp Chic!, which I have to shamefully admit has been sitting in the stamp draw having been used only a couple of times and left in there for quite a few months, so this morning I decided it was time she came out of the draw for another airing. The image has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. The BP is the papermania simply elegant collection. I have added a prima flower in brown and prima leaves in pink, some silver dots and a sentiment.

Sketch Saturday

Its saturday which means its sketch saturday day. What a great sketch there is for us today. I have used one of my new Sarah kay stamps and coloured it with polychromos and sansodor. The mounts have been cut using my new set of nestabilities. All the papers are from Basic grey two scoops pad of papers and the ribbon is some that I picked up in Denmark last year, which is now running low, so will have to get some more on the next visit (note to sister....when are we going).

Tilda and Friends ATC

Today is the first challenge of the year on Tilda and Friends ATC challenge blog and they have decided to make a few changes
"We have decided to allow you to use all different kinds of craft on your ATCs for Tilda and Friends, as long as the overall effect remains cute. So you can now use downloaded images or printed decoupage as well as Magnolia and other cute stamps. "

The theme this week is new beginnings so a chance to play with new crafty presents and any other new bits.

I have used a sugar nellie stamp that I got just before christmas but never used, new basic grey paper from the two scoops range which i made into a frame using a new set of nestabilities that my mum got me for christmas. The image has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. This year I will try other colouring mediums ..... promise.
Added a couple of ribbons to the frame and there is one completed ATC.

Come on over and join in the fun of ATC's and maybe we can swap some time.

A spoon full of sugar

Welcome back challenges, how I have missed you. The 1st challenge that I have decided to do is this weeks a spoon full of sugar, and this week it is a great sketch by Nikki.
I had to make a Silver Wedding Anniversary card , so have used this sketch, and one of my new Sarah Kay stamps. The image has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor, this has then been mounted onto silver card. The BP is from a pad of papers by paper crafts 4 u. The anniversary stamp is from stampin up which has also been mounted onto the silver card. I have cut the 25 from the same card using my cuttlebug, and then added the white heart.

Purrfect

I don't usually make new year resolutions, but this year I did, and that is get all my card orders made in plenty of time so no last minute rushes. This is one of the cards I have been asked to make, and the brief was cats or dogs.

I love this stamp called cats meow from Stamp-It, so decided to use it for this card. The cat has got some shadow colouring but this doesn't show up on the scan. The papers are Wild asparagus and Bazzill. Used my nesties for the frame and then just added a name and computer generated sentiment.

Normal service resumed

Well I hope you all had a brilliant christmas and new year and that not too many of you are feeling slightly the worse for wear today.

Normal service has now been resumed with the crafting, really struggled just before christmas to get any crafting done and then straight back to work, So today I have had a very quiet day and made a couple of cards.

Was asked yet again to make an extremely religious card for an elderly lady, and this time I have used a clipart image of a cross with flowers. I hope it fulfills the brief.

Soon be time for all the challenges to start again and I for one can't wait.
