Work really does get in the way of crafting, only had today to play and then only managed this card. I have used Autumnal colours as requested by the lovely ladies on the Pollycraft challenge blog, I have used a Lili of the valley stamp Milly Flower Power and coloured the image with promarkers, layered onto brown and orange card, and used the same orange card for the diecut sentiment. Th bp is basic grey and then used some old skeleton leaves that I found whilst clearing the craft room the other week. I am also going to enter this into Lili of the valley challenge blog whose challenge was Thank you

Shabby Chic
This week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge they want "Shabby Chic", and this is my take on it. I have used the Bees Costume stamp and coloured the image with promarkers. the yellow card behind the image is core-ordinations card stock which has been cut using a nestability and then screwed up, opened out and sanded. The BP is basic grey and the edges have been distressed using a pair of scissors (can't find my paper distresser tool) and the edges then inked with mustard seed distress ink. Added a small piece of lace and then 2 prima flowers with beaded brads in the centre

Moved
Well this week the challenge on Less Is More is a theme and that is "Things that Move". So I had a think (all day yesterday whilst at work) and suddenly remembered this set of stamps from Stampin Up called loads of love, and I thought well the van moves and so do your household items, a double whammy on the theme, so here is my card. Image has been coloured using promarkers , the sentiment is also from the same set of stamps, so not really a lot to say about this card, apart from it took longer to think of what to do than to do it.

Sunny Days
Its time again for the Less is more challenge and this week Mandi and Chrissie want one layer cards and would like us to "use ink" hopefully in a way you haven't tried before or a favourite technique. Well I went for first option, yes I have used distress inks before but not like this, I've either coloured images using them or distressed edges of papers, never used like this. I stamped this image from the summer by the sea set from Stampin up, masked the image of the boy only using a post it note, and then went to town with mustard seed and broken china distress inks. It only took me 2 attempts to get it right on the card but hundreds of attempts on scrap card before I dared to try it on an actual card. Once I had used the inks I then coloured the image with promarkers and added a sentiment from Woodware.
Thank you for the challenge Mandi and Chrissie and thanks for looking

School
A first time entry for me on Crafty Catz weekly challenge blog, found this site whilst blog hopping and liked the theme of this weeks challenge, which is back to school. I have used dan a stamp by Kadoodle and coloured the image with promarkers, the BP is Tim holtz and the measure is a stamp that I've had for ages and it has no name on it, coloured this as well with promarkers and added a sentiment stamped in white onto black card so that it resembled a blackboard.

Black and White
This week on the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge they would like to see black and white cards , no other colours, so straight away I thought of this Elvis stamp which I think looks great stamped in black. I have put some white card through the cuttelbug using the swiss dots embossing folder, cut a couple of snowflakes and embossed them on the cuttlebug and then just stamped the greeting, but that wasn't easy stamping onto embossed card, but I don't think it looks too bad.

My Love
I have followed the Sketch on this fortnights Oldie but a Goodie challenge blog and have used this Sarah Kay stamp that I have had for ages but also haven't used for a long time. I have coloured the image with promarkers and as the image is of the couple kissing it also fits with this weeks passion for promarkers challenge which is hugs and kisses.
The paper is dovedraft paper from an old pad and black card from my stash. The flowers are also from my stash and I can't remember who made them, and I have cut the corners using a cuttlebug corner die, which I have also had for a long time and again not used it in ages.

Happy Days
This week over on the Less is More challenge blog, Mandi and Chrissie would like to see cards made with the colour of your National Flag, and seeing as I'm from the UK I have used the colours of the St Georges Flag.
The stamp is a really old stamp that I got from Blade Rubber Stamps and I stamped the image using red versafine ink onto white card, then layered this onto red card and used the trusty ole dymo to make the sentiment using of course the red tape. I used this image and sentiment as my Husband used to have a red VW camper and had happy times using it

Cards for Men
Todays card is to go along with the Cards for Men challenge blog. This fortnight their challenge is clean and simple and of course to be suitable for a male. I have used this lovley lili of the valley stamp, stamped onto water colour paper and coloured using distress inks. I even left the edge of the paper as it is, torn straight from the pad as I just love this edge. Have used some corrugated card which I have torn and then a couple of buttons with string tied through them. Fairly clean and simple I reckon.
