Sketch Saturday

Just a day late doing this one, but had to work last night, so finished the card this morning.
Another great sketch this week on sketch saturday blog, and some great cards from the DT.
I have used this cute dog again, couldn't resist making some more cards using this image, reminds me of my own dog, whom I'm sure would wear a santa hat if I put one on her.
The papers are all from my stash but i think a couple of them are HOTP and one is papermania.
The sentiment is one I printed on the PC. Didn't add any other embellishments as i liked the look of it as per the sketch with no other additions.

Penny Black day

Today it is Penny black challenge day and the theme this week is

Monochromatic
This one should be easy, can chose Black & White, or you can go with different shades of one colour
I have used the penny black stamp snow slopes which has been stamped in versafine onto white card. Matted this onto black card and added some white thread to the bottom.
The BP is from my stash, and then embossed some more white card with the cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, and finally added the sentiment.

Friday Sketchers

Well its Friday Sketchers day today, and what a sketch there is by Mumur, totally different to what I would normally do, but I was determined to do it, and here is the finished article.
Have used the rose tinted christmas paper from DCWV (which I won the complete set of), the image of Tilda has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. Added the 3 ribbons (this led to a complete sort out of the ribbon draw). Then added the 2 stars in the corner.
I have rotated the sketch this week as I found it easier to work with this way round.
Boy this was certainly a challenge and a half for me.

Cute Card thursday

Its' Thursday so that can only mean one thing, Its cute card thursday day. Todays theme is Red and Green which to me can only mean Christmas. So I went rummaging in my christmas stamp box and found this stampendous precious moments stamp which must be at least 10 years old.

The cute image has been coloured with polychromos and sansodor, cut with nesties and mounted onto corrugated red card (found in a drawer). The BP is I think DCWV but can't be sure as it is no longer in its wrapper and it is left over from last year. Cut the holly quickutz die and added a button as the berry and then cut a red sizzix swirl to complete the card.

Tilda and Friends

It's Wednesday which can only mean Tilda and Friends ATC challege. This week the theme is Bring on the Bling, we are asked to use anything bright, shiny or sparkly on our ATC's.

I have Tilda wearing glittered tights, sitting on a ribbon which in real life has a sparkle to it, and the flower centre is a gem along with the 2 smaller flowers . The BP also has some shiny bits in it which can just about be seen in the pic

Papertake

There is another great sketch by Dawny P over on the Papertake weekly challenge blog this week , and this is my version of the sketch. No stamping from me today for this card, have used paper from my stash, the die is from Go Kreate which I have cut on the cuttlebug using mirri and bazzill card. Added a ribbon for some colour on the silver card, and the sentiment is from craftwork cards. Might just add the name of the little girl who the card is for along the bottom though.

Sketch Saturday

Yet another brilliant sketch this week on the Sketch saturday challenge blog.
I had been asked to make a birthday card for someone who is involved with the RAF at university for his 21st birthday. I made his 18th birthday card which he loved apparently, and used a sizzix man dressed in raf uniform for that card, so consequently this card had me stumped as couldn't use another sizzix person, so I went for Edwin dressed in a flying jacket. The BP is from some scrapbook papers that came free with a magazine and is all lancasters, spitfires and hurricanes. added the 2 metal charms to finish.
Just love this sketch and can see me using it again and again.

The paper is from my stash along with the card, The lace is also from my stash and the stamp is
from the Autumn leaves ticketed set. The flowers are prima and just added brads as the flower centre.
Hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow and can find some energy to make more cards.

Penny Black Challenge

This week on Penny Black saturday challenge blog, we have a challenge of
Sentiment Only
This week we thought we'd make it a little tricker and get you to think outside the box and get those brain cells working.
We'd like to see your creations with NO IMAGES !!!
Just a PB Sentiment Stamp.
what a challenge this was, as I don't own or rather didn't own any PB sentiment stamps - until this morning, when I went to a local scrapbook shop to find that they are now stocking stamps and there was a wall full of Penny Black stamps just looking at me.
I have used papermania BP, made a frame using my nesties and put it through the cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, and then just added flowers and holly leaves that were in my stash

Friday Sketchers #27

This week there is a brilliant sketch by Kristine over on Friday Sketchers challenge blog.
I have to make 12 Elvis christmas cards this year, so thought I would use this sketch to make a start on them. The image has just been stamped with black versafine onto white card, then matted onto black card, the BP is from a papermania pack. The white corners have been put through the cuttlebug using the snowflakes embossing folder. I found this ribbon in a shop the other day so got some in black and white with the intention of using it somewhere on the Elvis cards.
The stamp is from The cornish heritage farm in America.

Faithful and true

Today the Cute card Thursday challenge is Fairies and Angels. I have to admit to not owning any cute fairies or angels so plumped for using my trusty magnolia stamps. I have used Tilda with cross and the church stamps, both coloured using polychromos and sansodor. The BP is from crate, the flowers are prima, and the lace is from my stash along with the charm.

Chilly Tilda

This week on the Tilda and Friends ATC challenge blog the theme is fluffy creations, took me a bit of time to think of what stash I had that was fluffy, so I have used Chilly Tilda and coloured her with polychromos and sansodor, and she is sitting on snow cotton wool, next to her Christmas tree, which is of course a feather. The sky has just been chalked.

Papertake weekly challenge

This week the challenge on Papertake weekly is Simply Sparkling - This weeks challenge was inspired by all the bonfire and fireworks displays there have been lately! lol Simply sparkling - glitter, gems, or anything that is simply sparkling or along a bonfire/fireworks theme!

I have used Tilda in her petticoat which hasn't seen the light for a long time, coloured with polychromos and sansodor, she has been matted onto silver mirri card (honestly), added the blue ribbon which has a sparkle along the edges, the friend is also in silver mirri card and cut on the cuttlebug, and finally the star which has sequins and gems on it. along with beads. The paper is from my stash. In real life the card does have a sparkle to it but the scan doesn't do it justice.

Magnolia vs stampavie no 1

Today sees the first day of the Magnolia meets stampavie challenge blog. This used to be Tilda and Co and Sarah Kay weekly challenge, but Donna has decided to make these 2 blogs into one, so magnolia and stampavie stamps can now be used on the challenges. Hope this is better for you now Donna.
I have used a sarah kay stamp for this weeks challenge, she has been coloured with polychromos and sansodor. The BP is from crate paper, the purple half circle is Bazzill card which has been embossed using the cuttlebug. The flowers are prima and the lace is from my stash.

A 1st Birthday card

Was asked to make a 1st birthday card, which for some reason I always find hard, due to the fact that I never know what to use on them. Decided to use a Cuddly Buddly image on this card, decoupaged parts of the image. The BP is papermania and then cut the name with the cuttlebug is co-ordinating paper. Just used a flower and brad to finish

Sketch Saturday no 23

There is a brilliant sketch by Coco on sketch saturday this week, and this is my version of the sketch. Everything on the card including paper is from my stash of christmas bits which I have had for about 2 years now (tend not to make many Christmas cards). The stamp is an old Anitas stamp which I had when I first started stamping but I think it is such a cute image, that I have dug out to use again. It has been coloured with polychromos and sansodor.

Congratulations

This week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge we have been asked to get sparkly - bonfire night, so I have gone for both, we have the gold ring and sparkler and the fireworks in the background. Have made this ATC for those that made it onto the DT, congratulations to uou all.
Love this 12 days of christmas set as it doesn't have to be used just for Christmas.
