Anniversary

Certainly on a roll today, this is my 3rd challenge completed today. This one is for the SBS18 challenge blog and this week the theme is Anniversaries, you have to use at least one stamped image and NO patterned paper. I have used my one and only house mouse stamp, layered onto card cut with my nestabilities, placed black card throught the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, added silver ribbon and the sentiment is done with my dymo, (couldn't find an anniversary stamp)

Sarah Kay Sketch

Over on the Stamp with Sarah Kay blog this week, the challenge is a sketch and I just love sketches. Have used basic grey oh baby girl papers, coloured the sarah kay image in co ordinating colours, added a ribbon and a few flowers, not forgetting the 3 eyelets in the top right corner. It doesn't show on the scan but the dots on the background paper are yeloow to match the flowers in the image

Pamper yourself

This weeks challenge on Cute card Thurday challenge blog is In the house, so I have used this whipper snapper stamp which I haven't used for ages. The colours don't show up too well, but the bath is actually a pale blue and the bubbles have been coloured as well, but on the scan they just look white.
I love these challenges, they make me use stamps that haven't seen the light of day for a long time

Beads beads beads

This week challenge on the Tilda and friends atc challenge blog is Beads, so I have given Tilda a nice green necklace to match her green outfit, most certainly the beaded lady now. The little flower gems are really green but they don't show up well on the scan, maybe because the atc won't lie flat in the scanner due to the necklace

Smile

Blog hopping earlier looking for challenges, I came across the stamping with Sarah Kay blog, and this weeks theme was stamp a card with dots, circles and in coffee colours. So I stamped up my Sarah Kay stamp that I haven't used yet, coloured her in shades of brown or should I say coffee, added a smile circle and some flowers, a bit of lace all onto papermania paper from the simple elegant set, which just happens to have dots on it.

On the Farm

Playing catch up again, but seeing as I'm on holiday from work now, I should be able to do these on the day they are set for the time being. This weeks theme on the Penny black saturday challenge is Down on the Farm, you have to use penny black images of anything that you might find down on the farm. This is only one of two images that I have that are suitable, unless of course you can find an elephant down on the farm. Have used my nestabilites again, at the moment I am in love with them, and some paper that has been in my stash for ages and which I am determined to use up before I go and buy more. Added some buttons, ribbon and some stamped sentiments and a flourish

Sarah Kay

This weeks challenge on the Sarah Kay weekly challege blog is a sketch or should I say Scallop sketch. I have used lace as my scallops this week, all on Papermania vintage paper. I have coloured the image in slightly different colours to what I normally use, but I think it looks ok. Added flower with a brad and then the sentiment

Friday Sketchers no 12

So only one day late for this one, made it yesterday but finished it late so thought i would post it this morning before heading off to work. This weeks sketch was by Jacqueline from the Netherlands. Slightly different this week as the image was to be cut out, so it lended itself to using another Magnolia stamp. These are so versatile, used some chatterbox paper that I have had forever, pearlised card run through the swiss dots embossing folder, and used lace and ric rac to go across the centre. Added 2 different styles of flower and yet again another stampin up sentiment.

D is for Decoupage

Ok I don't normally do decoupage unless its the die cut sort nowadays, but the ABC Challenge blog this week is Decoupage, so out came the scissors and this image which was a freebie with a magazine from ages ago (never throw anything away), used papermania paper which was still on the desk from a card made earlier in the week, and a flower with a stampin up sentiment as the middle (such value those stampin up sentiments, i use them sooooo much)

Bugbear

This months challenge on the bring on the buddly challenge is A Major Bugbear, and the ATC must NOT include flowers, Bugs or Bears, so I have used the Men at work collection to create what is a major bugbear to me, roadworks with the workers standing around drinking tea.

A spoon full of Sugar

I started this card yesterday and have just finished it, and it is for the A spoon full of Sugar challenge blog. It is a sketch this week and this is my first time of playing on this blog as I have only recently got some Sarah Kay and Sugar Nellie stamps. I have used a Sarah Kay stamp and a mixture of paper and card for the background with some blue lace and light blue ric rac.
Will definitely be back on this blog again.

Too hot today

Much too hot to do crafting today, so am just showing the 2 atcs for a months of the year swap, this time October as if you couldn't guess, only 2 more months to go. Have just finished colouring a sarah kay image as it has now cooled down enough to do some craft. Hoping to do the sketch on a spoonfull of sugar challenge blog, but it will too late to show it tonight, so will be shown tomorrow.

By the Light

Today is Wednesday so its time for the Tilda and Friends ATC challenge. This weeks challenge is to use Buttons, use up one or two or more of those buttons from your button jar.
I have used a mother of pearl button for the moon, with tilda just dipping her toes into the night time water with a starfish and a dolphin (i think) in the water

Friday sketchers on a monday

Finally got round to doing the Friday Sketchers challenge 11 today, even though it is a monday. running behind as usual. Have used one of my new sugar nellies sweet n sassy stamps, coloured with polychromos and blended with sansador, used basic grey blush paper and added prima flowers and a piece of old lace that i had in my collection. A lovely sketch to work on this week

Bugs

This weeks challenge on Tilda and Co is Bugs. The idea being to incorporate bugs into your handiwork, and of course to use a magnolia stamp. I don't own any magnolia bug stamps, so used some bugs from another set of stamps (see D ones). Used the ants and the bees. Then finished the card off with the large flower (again) and a stampin up sentiment

Distressed Tilda

The challenge on the Tilda and Co blog this week is Distressed Tilda, Make her Distressed looking, a little rough around the edges, a bit of grungy!
So stay clear of these cute pastel colours if you can help it and get down and dirty with tilda!

I didn't really distress Tilda but have done the background. Not sure if its what is needed, but I don't really do distressed, but aim to practise after seeing all the examples on blogs

Purrfect Harmony

This weeks challenge on the Tilda and Friends ATC challenge blog is Our Animal Friends , so I have made my ATC with Edwins dog and Tildas Cat, sitting together in Purrfect Harmony. The background is just distress inks with the good ole Dymo tape to finish

Its the Law

Todays card is made for the Sketch challenge over on Sarah Kay Weekly challenge blog.
Never managed to make a card in time for the first challenge but have managed to do this weeks. Still running behind on the challenges, but it isn't easy fitting them in with shift work.
I love this Sarah Kay stamp, but there again I love them all. Used an Inkadinkado stamp for the sentiment which I thought went well with the image.

Off to do another challenge now

Pirate boy

OK, so I am running a bit behind this week, but here is my card for the Cute Card Thursday blog. The challenge set on Thursday was to make a card for a child, so I played with my Kadoodle stamp from the Craft barn for the first time today, used a picture of a pirate map, the skull and crossbones cut using the cuttlebug and a rub on to finish it off. Quite happy with the finished result.

A free stamp

Thought I would show an ATC that I made with one of the free paperartsy stamps available with this months craft beautiful. All it cost was the P&P of £2, and I have 3 new paperartsy stamps, a result me reckons. This one has been stamped onto a background of distressed inks can't remember which colours I used, and then used a Judikins cube to add the bits around the edge and a metal star to finish

Friday sketchers 10

This is my interpretation of this weeks sketch over on the Friday Sketchers blog, and yes I know it is now Sunday, but this was the first chance that I had to have a play with this sketch. Have gone for Lilac shades again, seem to be going through a lilac phase at the moment. Have used baking tilda and papermania paper which I am determined to use up, think thats why the lilac phase is happening.

letter and daisy

Please excuse the really bad scan but the daisy in the corner is so raised that the background image is now blurred (not in real life though)

Todays challenge over on the penny black saturday challenge is a sketch, and I have only just found sketches and love doing them. For this I have used the Penny Black letter and daisy stamp and papermania papers and a large daisy which I have had for yonks.

Sitting in the sun

This weeks challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC challenge blog is Perfect pearls, they want us to incorporate perals, be it pearl paint, pearls, pearlescent paper etc. So my ATC of tilda has a pearl heart in the centre of the flower which is supposed to represent the sun. Have used magnolia background stamp as well as tough tilda

B is for Baby

This weeks challenge on the ABC Challenge blog is B is for baby, the challenge to make a project to celebrate the birth of a baby. I have made a card using pink petticoat papers and letters, and a stamp that I can't remember who makes it, a couple of pieces of ribbon and a metal Congrats embellishment.
