Bugs

This weeks challenge on Tilda and Co is Bugs. The idea being to incorporate bugs into your handiwork, and of course to use a magnolia stamp. I don't own any magnolia bug stamps, so used some bugs from another set of stamps (see D ones). Used the ants and the bees. Then finished the card off with the large flower (again) and a stampin up sentiment

C is for Charms

The challenge this week on the ABC Challenge blog is C for Charms. OK i know that this isn't exactly a charm but its close, was trying to get the challenge done and couldn't find any charms, it is metal at least. Hope that it fits the bill

Distressed Tilda

The challenge on the Tilda and Co blog this week is Distressed Tilda, Make her Distressed looking, a little rough around the edges, a bit of grungy!
So stay clear of these cute pastel colours if you can help it and get down and dirty with tilda!

I didn't really distress Tilda but have done the background. Not sure if its what is needed, but I don't really do distressed, but aim to practise after seeing all the examples on blogs

Purrfect Harmony

This weeks challenge on the Tilda and Friends ATC challenge blog is Our Animal Friends , so I have made my ATC with Edwins dog and Tildas Cat, sitting together in Purrfect Harmony. The background is just distress inks with the good ole Dymo tape to finish

Its the Law

Todays card is made for the Sketch challenge over on Sarah Kay Weekly challenge blog.
Never managed to make a card in time for the first challenge but have managed to do this weeks. Still running behind on the challenges, but it isn't easy fitting them in with shift work.
I love this Sarah Kay stamp, but there again I love them all. Used an Inkadinkado stamp for the sentiment which I thought went well with the image.

Off to do another challenge now

Pirate boy

OK, so I am running a bit behind this week, but here is my card for the Cute Card Thursday blog. The challenge set on Thursday was to make a card for a child, so I played with my Kadoodle stamp from the Craft barn for the first time today, used a picture of a pirate map, the skull and crossbones cut using the cuttlebug and a rub on to finish it off. Quite happy with the finished result.

A free stamp

Thought I would show an ATC that I made with one of the free paperartsy stamps available with this months craft beautiful. All it cost was the P&P of £2, and I have 3 new paperartsy stamps, a result me reckons. This one has been stamped onto a background of distressed inks can't remember which colours I used, and then used a Judikins cube to add the bits around the edge and a metal star to finish

Friday sketchers 10

This is my interpretation of this weeks sketch over on the Friday Sketchers blog, and yes I know it is now Sunday, but this was the first chance that I had to have a play with this sketch. Have gone for Lilac shades again, seem to be going through a lilac phase at the moment. Have used baking tilda and papermania paper which I am determined to use up, think thats why the lilac phase is happening.

Todays challenge over on the penny black saturday challenge is a sketch, and I have only just found sketches and love doing them. For this I have used the Penny Black letter and daisy stamp and papermania papers and a large daisy which I have had for yonks.

Sitting in the sun

This weeks challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC challenge blog is Perfect pearls, they want us to incorporate perals, be it pearl paint, pearls, pearlescent paper etc. So my ATC of tilda has a pearl heart in the centre of the flower which is supposed to represent the sun. Have used magnolia background stamp as well as tough tilda

B is for Baby

This weeks challenge on the ABC Challenge blog is B is for baby, the challenge to make a project to celebrate the birth of a baby. I have made a card using pink petticoat papers and letters, and a stamp that I can't remember who makes it, a couple of pieces of ribbon and a metal Congrats embellishment.

More tildas

Decided to have a play with the Tilda stamps again and try to make up a picture, this seems very basic compared to some that I have seen, but for me, I'm happy with with it. Decided to use a flower for the sun, and a rub on for the sentiment. The rest are all Magnolia stamps. Will definitely be trying to perfect this style.

Distress inks

Have been playing with some distress inks and trying to make some backgrounds with them.This is an ATC that I have made using some new inks and a new paperartsy stamp that i got at the weekend, still need to practise a bit. Maybe I should read up a bit more on how to use these inks and look for some tutorials on that famouse website.

Tilda Clock

This weeks challenge on Tilda and Co is Thinking of others, and the challenge was

"Now this could be an altered gift, a Card Set, ( not just a card on its own) It could be a Mini Book, it could be anything! As long as it is a gift for somebody, as we all send out little raks to crafting friends or gifts to them, and then there's our family's – so i thought it would be nice that this week, we are “ thinking of others” and what we can make for them to put a smile on there face."

So I decided to make a clock which I will give to somebody, not sure who just yet though.
I have tilda in her petticoat and used Quickutz numbers for the clock face, and yes the clock does work lol

Friday sketchers 9

Whilst doing a bit of blog hopping this morning, I came across the Friday Sketchers blogspot and thought, how come I haven't seen this before, must have a go at this, so off to the craft room I went and here is my card for Friday Sketchers 9. Think I might have to go back and do the other 8. I seem to have taken to doing sketches lately, think thats because my mojo has gone on holiday and left me here.

on the beach

This weeks challenge on the SBS18 Challenge blog is Beaches, summer sun and Sand. So I have made an ATC (because I love making them). I have used the woodware clear stamps sunny days and chalked the background for the sand and sea and added the beach hut and the girl with the birds and crab to finish it off

Penny Black day

Today is Penny black challenge blog day, and this weeks challenge was to use buttons and brads, preferably both but at least one of them and of course a penny black stamp or image on the card.

I have used the penny black Rose love stamp, mounted this onto black card, added three white brads and a button threaded with white ribbon with a grosgrain sentiment.

ABC Challenge

This card is for the new ABC challenge blog which started this week. The challenge this week is A for Animals, so have used my favourite sort of animal, the dog. Sorry about the scan its wonky but the card isn't

Lavender and Lace

This weeks challenge over on Tilda and Friends ATC blog is Lavender and Lace. I have used milled lavender distress ink for the background, added Tilda who is wearing apaper pieced dress, then some white lace, a flower and a dragonfly to finish it off. All coloured in various shades of lavender with a hint of lilac thrown in.

another stampin up ATC

This is another ATC made from a set of stamps from Stampin up called Summer by the sea. I just love thsi set of stamps and think that I have used most of them now and some more than once. This time the image has been watercoloured and just mounted on the blue base card
